Unfolding Professional Identity

«Excellence is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.»

— John W. Gardner

Soulcatcher Identity Session #3

Career paths are becoming less linear, professional expectations continue to evolve, and many individuals struggle to clearly articulate what makes them distinctive. Over time, people can also become deeply identified with the organizations, roles, or professions they belong to, sometimes losing connection with who they are beyond them. When transitions happen such as career changes, restructurings, burnout, AI or broader societal disruptions, this loss of clarity can become particularly visible. In this context, how can individuals better understand who they are, how they create value, and which environments truly allow them to thrive?

Clarity is often already there.

The challenge is learning how to recognize it, structure it, and express it consistently.

The strongest personal positioning rarely comes from self-promotion alone. It often emerges through a deeper understanding of a person’s trajectory, convictions, strengths, behavioral patterns, areas of excellence, motivations, and unique way of approaching work, to name a few.

Who is this session for?

This session is designed for leaders, experts, executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals, particularly those facing:

  • questions around career direction or professional repositioning,

  • difficulty reconnecting with their own strengths, identity, and value beyond the corporate environments or roles they have long evolved within,

  • lack of alignment between who they are and how they present themselves professionally,

  • uncertainty about the environments in which they naturally perform best,

  • desire for stronger visibility, authenticity, and professional consistency,

  • growing pressure to stand out in increasingly standardized professional environments.

What we will explore?

During this executive session, we will explore how identity work can help individuals move from reflection to alignment between who they are, what they do, and how they position themselves professionally.

What participants will leave with?

  • deeper reflection on the meaning of professional and personal identity,

  • new ways to recognize and articulate their strengths, values, and distinctive patterns,

  • practical perspectives on how identity translates into behavior, communication, positioning, relationships, and perceived value,

  • reflection angles to continue the process personally and professionally.

Session format:

  • A concise session designed for busy professionals, combining identity reflection with practical, real-life application.

  • Date: 03/07/26

  • 45 minutes total: 30 minutes of conversation, insights, and concrete examples / 15 minutes of live Q&A

Organizational identity strategist | co-founder of Soulcatcher.eu | Castle restorer

I am a strategy consultant specialized in organizational and individual identity, positioning, and transformation. After starting my career as Strategy Director within the European division of Dentsu in Brussels, I founded my own consultancy in 2009 to help organizations and individuals reconnect strategy, culture, behavior, and identity.

For more than 15 years, I have applied principles from organizational identity theory to explore a fundamental question: “Who are we?” whether at the level of organizations, teams, or individuals. My approach combines insights from anthropology, sociology, and psychology to uncover the deeper forces shaping behavior, alignment, meaning, and differentiation.
